Stability of relativistic fluids in an accelerating expanding universe
Περίληψη: We discuss the global stability of relativistic fluids, highlighting the main questions and known results. We begin with a gentle introduction to the compressible Euler equations and the formation of shocks, then turn to results on expanding backgrounds and for fluids coupled to Einstein’s equations. We end with work in progress on the Einstein–Euler system for fluids whose velocities approach the speed of light.
